  • Inspect rides to ensure cleanliness and functionality.

Seasonal Dates: November 1st- January 9th, 2027

20-29 Hours per week Essential Job Functions

Performs manual labor as it relates to the repair and maintenance of holiday displays and equipment at StoneZoo with a focus on electrical troubleshooting and repair. Repair or modification of existing holiday and other displays
in accordance with the instructions provided by the Guest Experience Supervisors and/or Crew Leaders. Ability to meet maintenance deadlines, work in a team environment as well as work independently with minimum supervision. Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to perform physical labor as defined by the projects at hand. Must be able to work weekend
and holiday nights as required.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ability to complete work and preventive maintenance assigned with emphasis on electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs.
  • Use of basic power and hand tools.
  • Ability to make repairs to existing holiday structures and displays.
  • Maintain clean, safe and inviting work areas, including maintenance, sweeping, shoveling, and removing puddles, snow and ice as needed.
  • Assist in inspecting rides to ensure they are clean and functioning properly.
  • Knowledge of basic zoo operations, including safety procedures.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor when working with diverse guests and team members.
  • Perform routine tours throughout the Zoo for maintenance purposes.
  • Work independently and in team settings.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner to Zoo guests and employees.
  • Work outside in changing weather conditions.
  • Computer skills including email,Microsoft office, Internet, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Prior experience in maintenance including familiarity with electrical systems.
  • Ability to maintain a good attendance record.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Ability to work outside in changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
  • Ability to perform all duties such assnow removal, etc. as requested.
  • Must be able to respond to on-call situations when scheduled.
