Job summary

Outdoor Recreation Hospitality LLC, dba White Mountain, seeks a Host to deliver a high-quality recreational experience for visitors at the White Mountain National Forest. The role involves gate and check-in duties, guest services, and possible retail tasks in campground areas.

The position supports a team in a dynamic environment, requiring strong communication, reliability, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-site housing may be available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and verbal/written communication.
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations with guests.
• Basic recordkeeping and money handling experience.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physically capable: lift 20 pounds frequently and 25+ pounds occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance through company carrier.
• On-site housing may be provided for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous, helpful customer service, educates visitors on area rules and regulations; promotes programs.
• Registers campers, collects fees, and sells retail items; handles reservations.
• Operates a cash register; records revenues and logs data.
• Verifies payments and issues tickets; maintains information boards.
• Performs rounds to ensure safety and cleanliness; maintains restrooms and facilities.
• Assists with housekeeping, laundry, and stock; handles on-site retail tasks as needed.
• May assist with activity programs and shift planning.
• All other related duties as needed.
