Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, OH seeks a friendly Host for Sortino's Restaurant to greet guests and seat them with care. You will manage seating to align with guests' wishes and rotate tables as needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of front-of-house experience; you will operate the POS and phone system, coordinate seating, and collaborate with servers, bussers, and management to ensure a warm, efficient guest experience.

Qualifications

• Front-of-house experience of 1+ year preferred.
• Able to operate POS and phone system.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Bi-lingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, escorts them to the assigned dining area and rotate tables as needed.
• Call out party name and number when tables become available in a courteous, clear manner.
• Present menus upon seating and announce server’s name; check table presentation.
• Assist servers, bussers, co-host/hostess, and management as situations arise.
• Answer telephone with proper Kalahari Resort verbiage.
