Job summary

The Grand Marlin Pensacola Beach is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Host to welcome guests, seat them, and ensure a memorable dining experience. You will manage seating arrangements, provide menus, and coordinate with servers to keep the flow smooth.

The ideal candidate has restaurant experience or a strong guest-service background, excellent communication, and a cheerful, professional attitude. This full-time role offers a chance to grow with a team that values hospitality and guest

Qualifications

Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred.
Friendly and customer-focused personality.
Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance.
Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, etc.
Must be able to carry supplies (10-20 lbs)

Responsibilities

Pleasantly greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas suitable for their needs
Provide guests with menus
Stay informed regarding any reservation details
Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas; provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
Effectively communicate on the telephone including taking accurate and detailed messages
