Banner House is seeking a warm, customer-focused Host to greet guests and set the tone for every visit. You will manage seating, reservations, and communicate guests’ needs, coordinating with servers to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Host or in a customer service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Flexibility in working hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Basic computer skills to manage reservation systems.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly smile and memorable first impression.
• Manage seating and reservations with accurate seating and timely turnover.
• Communicate guests' seating preferences and special requests clearly.
• Provide wait time estimates and maintain an organized list during peak hours.
• Collaborate with servers to coordinate seating and smooth flow of guests.
• Keep host area clean and organized; manage coat check and entrance appearance.
• Monitor dining room to ensure guests are attended to promptly and issues are addressed.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally; escalate to management as needed.
• Coordinate with other hosts and team members for smooth shift transitions.
• Willingness to come early for pre-shifts.
