Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group is seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, manage reservations, and seat guests in a timely and courteous manner at our Napa restaurants. You’ll present menus, relay information to servers, and ensure a smooth flow of guests from arrival to departure.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math, and English proficiency, with flexibility to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service and cash handling experience desired.
• Ability to interact with guests verbally and in person with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to learn and use restaurant computer systems and reservation tools.
• Completes required training as scheduled.
• Must speak, read, write and understand English; may require flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and seat them, present menus, and inform guests about options.
• Maintain a waiting list and manage guest flow and wait times.
• Ensure tables are properly presented and coordinate with servers.
• Check in with guests during meals to ensure satisfaction; thank them on departure.
• Maintain cleanliness of hostess stand and waiting areas; protect PPE and comply with safety rules.
• Assist with general guest services duties as needed and communicate guest requests to management.
