Job summary

Bobby Jones Links is seeking a friendly host to greet and seat members and guests, using names whenever possible. You will manage reservations, balance workloads, and maintain a clean, inviting host station with menus and wine lists.

As part of the service team, you’ll take orders, enter them into POS, and ensure timely delivery while answering questions on menu details and allergens. You’ll also handle payments and address issues by escalating to a supervisor when needed.

• Manage reservation book and pacing seatings to balance server workloads.
• Keep the host station organized and stocked, with menus and wine lists clean and presentable.
• Take orders accurately and enter into POS promptly.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner and check back for satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat members and guests with a friendly, welcoming demeanor, using names whenever possible.
• Know all table and section numbers and follow proper rotation to balance server workloads.
• Manage the reservation book and system, including pacing seatings, tracking wait times, and handling special requests.
• Keep the host station organized and stocked, with menus and wine lists clean and presentable.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them promptly into the POS system.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials, wine list, and common allergens to guide members and guests confidently.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner and check back to ensure satisfaction.
• Present checks and process payments accurately, including member charges.
• Address concerns graciously and escalate to a manager when needed.
