Job summary

Farmers Restaurant Group is seeking a Host/Coordinator in Washington, DC area. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and support the service team to ensure an outstanding guest experience. The role requires strong communication, hospitality, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a hospitable environment for guests and staff.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Full-service restaurant experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant reservations and wait lists to accurately set guest expectations.
• Manage and monitor the restaurant's reservation system using OpenTable.
• Answer the restaurant phone and provide friendly service for all guest inquiries.
• Greet and seat guests at their table providing exceptional hospitality.
• Assist guests in making reservations and respond to requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with parking validation and provide directions/recommendations.
• Support the service staff by clearing dishes and transporting them to the dishwasher.
• Set up dining areas for large parties and brunch events.
• Perform cleaning duties and ensure restrooms are clean.
• Maintain punctuality and contribute to a positive team environment.
