Job summary

Wildflower Farms, Auberge Collection in the Hudson Valley is seeking a Restaurant Host to uphold the welcoming atmosphere that defines our hospitality. You will greet guests, manage check-ins and seating, answer phones, and coordinate with staff to ensure smooth guest flow from arrival to departure.

This role requires strong English communication, a positive attitude, flexibility for weekends and holidays, and the ability to obtain local certifications.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or hospitality.
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and the ability to speak and write in English fluently.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide courteous service, and handle check-ins and seating.
• Answer phones, take reservations, and manage in-room dining orders.
• Coordinate with restaurant and pool staff to optimize guest placements and flow.
• Assist with station charts, assign stations, and guide servers in table setup.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and work areas.
• Monitor guest profiles, VIP arrivals, and special requests in reservation systems.
• Ensure menus and wine lists are clean, up-to-date, and stocked.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Familiarize yourself with hotel services and local attractions to answer inquiries.
• Collaborate with Food and Beverage Management to set a positive restaurant tone.
