Job summary

Bob Evans Restaurants is seeking a friendly Host/Cashier to join our team. You will greet guests, seat them, hand menus, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining room while delivering prompt, accurate checkout experiences.

You will handle cash and card transactions, support promotions, and assist with marketing efforts as needed. The role emphasizes excellent guest service, dependable teamwork, and a positive attitude, with early close and no late nights in our schedule.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years related experience or equivalent dining experience.
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of menu items and ability to handle money accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
• Monitors guests’ needs and the flow of the restaurant and seats guests accordingly
• Delivers the appropriate number of menus, kid packs if needed when seating guests
• Performs restroom checks, answers phone, keeps lobby, bakery and retail areas clean
• Practices safe food and beverage handling
• Communicates with guests and handles complaints with manager involvement as needed
• Handles cash and credit transactions; accounts for all receivables
• Assist in marketing, promotions and selling of products
• Clears, sanitizes, and sets tables as needed
• Dependability and exceptional teamwork to perform duties
