Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a friendly and self-motivated host/hostess to greet and seat guests, share enthusiasm for the menu, and support restaurant operations. The role involves training new staff and assisting in various tasks, including phones, transactions, stock, and cleanup.

Flexibility in schedule is required as hours vary weekly. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in food service, a valid food handler's card where required, and strong communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality (preferred).
• A food handler's card where required by local and state regulations.
• Strong communication skills with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers quickly and in a professional manner.
• Share knowledge and enthusiasm about the menu and products.
• Assist with new employee training by reinforcing performance and offering help as needed.
• Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as answering telephones, completing financial transactions, stock work, cleanup and documentation.
