Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet and seat guests promptly, share enthusiasm for the menu, and support team training. The hours and schedule vary by week to meet business needs.

Candidates should communicate clearly, work well in fast-paced environments, and maintain a flexible schedule. A food handler’s card may be required by local/state regulations. 1+ year in food service/hospitality is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality (preferred).
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Thrived in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule required as hours vary by week.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers quickly and in a professional manner.
• Share knowledge and enthusiasm about the restaurant's menu with customers.
• Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and offer assistance as needed.
• Support other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones, completing financial transactions, stock work, cleanup and documentation.
