Job summary

Black Bear Diner in Texas is hiring a Server Support Team member to help ensure a warm, efficient guest experience. You’ll greet guests, seat them, relay notes to servers, take take-out orders, and process payments with accuracy while maintaining a clean, welcoming lobby and dining area.

The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays, physical stamina to stand long hours, and the ability to multitask in a busy restaurant environment. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Patience and friendly demeanor essential for guest interactions.
• Strong customer-service orientation and positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Willingness to learn the point-of-sale system and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and promptly as they arrive.
• Seat guests according to preferences and wait-list status.
• Relay messages to servers and assist with station setup and clean-up.
• Take dine-in and take-out orders, enter into POS, and process payments.
• Maintain clean lobby, dining area, and restrooms; stock service stations.
• Be flexible to fill in for team members to ensure smooth operation.
