Job summary

Trapper's Sushi Enumclaw is seeking a friendly Host/Cashier to welcome guests, manage waitlists and seating, take takeout orders, and handle payments accurately in a fast-paced FOH environment.

You will be the first impression for guests, coordinate with servers and kitchen, keep the lobby clean, and uphold safety standards. Washington residents only; a WA Food Worker Card is required within 14 days.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to create a memorable experience.
• Manage the waitlist, seating rotation, and table availability to keep service flowing smoothly.
• Answer phones promptly and take takeout orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Process payments, handle cash and card transactions, and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, menus, and restrooms as assigned.
• Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and kitchen staff about seating, large parties, and special requests.
• Monitor lobby conditions and guest needs, including ADA access and accommodations.
• Support to-go order packaging and accuracy when volume requires.
• Follow all company safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards, including proper chemical handling and PPE use when cleaning.
