Job summary

Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation is seeking a part-time House & Grounds team member for Newport Aquarium in Newport, KY. The role is on-site with a pay rate of $15 USD per hour and requires leading a team, ensuring safety, and upholding guest experiences.

This position involves supervising up to 15 staff, enforcing policies, and maintaining clean, welcoming facilities. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior experience related to industrial cleaning preferred.
• Proficiency in reading/writing/speaking English.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Operations Supervisor to implement policies for safe, efficient cleaning.
• Enforce Newport Aquarium policies and procedures; suggest improvements.
• Lead and coach up to 15 team members to maintain morale and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor performance to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain guest and employee relations; ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Answer guest questions about aquarium activities and operations.
• Handle guest feedback and elevate issues to management when needed.
• Create a friendly, professional, guest-focused environment.
• Manage supplies and assist in ordering products.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training for the team.
