Job summary

Meduza Mediterrania in New York is seeking a Host to welcome guests, manage seating, and set expectations for diners. You are the first impression of our brand and the spokesperson for reservations.

You will coordinate seating, maintain a clean host area, assist guests with special occasions, and collaborate with the service team to deliver warm, efficient hospitality in a lively dining environment. Availability nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• A clean and polished appearance.
• Strong multitasking abilities and a diligent work ethic.
• Experience in customer-facing service roles.
• Night, weekend, and holiday availability.
• Ability to stand for the duration of shifts and lift up to 15 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate seating and dining room flow
• Answer calls and questions that guests may have on their upcoming reservations
• Maintain awareness and attentiveness to guests and their special occasions, food restrictions and special accommodations
• Maintain a working environment that complies with health and safety guidelines
• Deliver excellent customer service by anticipating the needs of coworkers and guests
• Ensure that side stations are prepped as needed for business demand
• Build rapport with guests in order to increase repeat clientele
• Complete administrative work in the morning
