Meduza Mediterrania in New York City is seeking a high-energy Lead Host to manage the overall seating strategy and ensure smooth guest greeting and seating operations. A warm, prompt welcome sets the tone for an exceptional guest experience.

The Lead Host oversees reservations, walk-ins and moving parties to tables, serving as a role model for other Hosts. Must be able to work mornings for administrative tasks and support a fast-paced dining environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest.
• Coordinates and strategizes seating and dining room flow.
• Answering calls and questions from guests and from the other hosts.
• Aware and attentive to guests and their special occasions, food restrictions and special accommodations.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety guidelines.
• Proactive and anticipate the needs of coworkers around them that may need
• Ensuring that side stations are prepped as needed for business demand.
• Build rapport with guests in order to increase repeat clientele.
• Ability to work mornings to do administrative work.

The Lead Host must be in-the-know about all seating decisions and drive the guest experience regarding reservations, walk-ins, and moving parties to a different table. The Lead Host sets an example for all other Hosts of what exceptional guest experiences look like.
