Job summary

The Home Depot in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Head Cashier to lead cashiers and ensure fast, friendly checkout while maintaining safety and accuracy in all transactions.

You will supervise, coach and train Front End Associates, participate in training of new Cashiers, and help optimize Self-Checkout operations and price-check processes. Strong customer service and cashier experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Head Cashier with 1+ years of cashier experience.
• Supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates.

Responsibilities

• Process Checkout and/or Return transactions.
• Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area.
• Provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
• Supervise, coach and train other Front End Associates; participate in training of new Cashiers.
• Expedite price checks and approve POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
