Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of food & beverage in an upscale establishment.
• Positive, outgoing and friendly personality.
• Ability to follow OVI standards of presentation, body language and verbiage.
• Ability to work cohesively with other employees as part of a team.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Ability to work a flexible work week including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of Spa Ojai’s style, practices, culture and standards.
• Maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with guests throughout dining.
• Attend required meetings and adhere to HR policies and laws.
• Promote teamwork and handle guest complaints or concerns.
• Recognize intoxicated or disruptive guests and report issues to management.
• Assist servers and Bussers, and work with the chef to help food leave the kitchen.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of storage rooms and dining areas.
• Follow payroll, uniform procedures, and provide attentive beverage/dining service.
