Job summary

Harris Teeter is hiring for a part-time position focused on taking excellent care of customers and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Responsibilities include bagging, carryout, parcel pickup, loading merchandise, and returning carts.

Training is provided to help you succeed in a teamwork-driven environment. Applicants must read, write and communicate in English, have basic math skills, and demonstrate reasoning abilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and associates who only speak English.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations.
• Provide bagging procedures, carryout and parcel pickup service, load merchandise into customer vehicles, and return shopping carts to the store.
• Participate in required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Adhere to safety and product knowledge standards as part of the training.
