Food Lion in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service at the register and assist customers with purchases. You will greet customers, scan items, bag groceries, and maintain a clean front end in accordance with store standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy and safety, including cash handling procedures and returns. Flexibility in hours and the ability to stand for long periods are required to support store operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and requirements.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsabilités

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt for bagging efficiency.
• Check cart bottoms and under seats for items before order completion.
• Follow correct bagging procedures for bag types.
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Avoid personal conversations with customers during service.
• Follow procedures for cash handling, coupons, gift cards, and WIC.
• Handle refunds and error corrections per policy.
• Maintain accurate cash control.
• Follow override procedures as needed.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed.
• Check prices quickly and accurately.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge when on duty.
• Retrieve shopping carts from parking lot and corrals safely.
• Keep work station front end neat and clean.
• Report register malfunctions to the CSM or MOD.
• Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is stocked and functioning.
• Adhere to all guidelines, policies and standard practices.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions.
• Notify QA of cleaning or maintenance issues on front end.
• Complete CBT and training aids as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
