Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers to create an outstanding experience.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to company cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Adhere to policy for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow coupon procedures.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and follow food safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and identify unsafe conditions; notify management as needed.
• Inspect equipment and report items needing repair; maintain a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow all laws and guidelines; work cooperatively in fast-paced environments and handle conflicts professionally.
• Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as required.
