Job summary

Hugo's Family Marketplace is seeking a friendly cashier to provide exceptional customer service at the checkout. You will operate the POS, process cash, credit, and debit transactions, and count cash at shifts start. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering questions, locating products, adhering to store policies, and supporting other departments as needed. Previous experience is a plus, training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong math and basic problem-solving skills.
• Experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate the POS system to process cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Handle cash; count the cash register at the start of each shift.
• Assist customers with product information and locating items in the store.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area; follow store policies.
• Provide support in other areas of the store as needed.
