Hugo's Family Marketplace is seeking a friendly cashier to provide excellent customer service and accurate checkout support. You will operate the POS, assist customers, and help maintain a tidy, welcoming checkout area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate the POS system to process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and debit purchases.
• Handle cash responsibly, make change accurately, and count the cash register at the beginning of each shift.
• Assist customers with product information and location within the store.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Follow store policies and procedures, including security and loss prevention measures, to protect company assets.
• Provide support in other areas of the store as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment.
