Job summary

Meijer is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across departments and service areas. You will interact with customers, support the service desk, and help with store operations.

As a friendly, detail-oriented team member, you will perform tasks across departments such as Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral, with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent listening and communication abilities for customer service.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist in a store environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants move shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for winter conditions.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrance, lanes and parking areas.
• Support multiple departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• This profile may include other duties as assigned.
