Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Courtesy Team Member to support store operations and customer service. You will engage with customers, assist with basic tasks, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn across departments such as Health and Beauty, Hardlines, and Apparel. Prior experience isn’t required; strong communication and a can-do attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or using equipment.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
