Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in El Segundo, CA invites applicants for in-store roles at Nordstrom Rack across Sales, Customer Service, Stock and Fulfillment.

You will work with teammates to keep the sales floor runway-ready, assist customers at checkout, support fitting rooms and maintain clean, organized stockrooms. This position emphasizes flexibility to work across departments, strong communication, ownership, and the ability to lift/move merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready and is sized and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
• Assist customers when cashiering with transactions across in-store, online and mobile platforms, operating a point-of-sale system
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting/returning clothing to the floor
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting/returning clothing to the salesfloor
• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed
• Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and adhere to operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
• Promote Nordstrom Rewards initiatives
• Receive/unload freight, unpack and deliver merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders following quality standards and ship orders per packing/shipping standards
• Use inventory systems to scan/process shipments and assist in backroom organization
• Provide general store support including events, backroom setup, markdowns and fixture relocation
