Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and maintain store security and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment; interact professionally with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Conduct cleaning and restocking of bathrooms and floors; take out trash; ensure neatness across all areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
