Job summary

The Detroit Athletic Club is seeking a Stadium Club server assistant to maintain clear communication with servers and members, and provide gracious hospitality. You will help set the dining room, complete opening sidework, and support on-floor service with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or dining preferred.
• Knowledge of proper table settings and service ware.
• Ability to read, write and speak English to understand menus and take orders.
• Ability to move through a crowded dining room and assist guests.

Responsibilities

• Report on time in proper uniform and well groomed.
• Understand and practice the DAC attendance policy.
• Communicate arrival and shift details to Stadium Club manager or supervisor.
• Set dining room 15 minutes prior to service, complete opening sidework, and ensure room is functional.
• Attend required meetings and be on the floor 15 minutes before a meal period with knowledge of menu items and specials.
• Provide continuous, timely, and impeccable service; assist servers in expediting requests.
• Respond to member requests quickly and efficiently; report issues to management.
• Demonstrate teamwork and maintain communication with staff and supervisors.
