Job summary

Cloudland at McLemore Resort in Lookout Mountain is hiring a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, escort them to tables, and present menus. You’ll be the first impression as guests arrive and the last as they leave, coordinating with servers, the kitchen, and management to ensure a smooth dining experience.

The role requires a positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to handle seating requests and waiting lists.

Qualifications

• First point of contact for guests; greet, assist and answer questions.
• Ensure guests feel welcome, valued, and attended to.
• Handle special requests, seating, waiting lists, and issues.
• Coordinate with servers, management, and kitchen for smooth service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort to table, pull chair, present menus.
• Ensure entry doors are clean, free of debris and inviting, and welcoming.
• Inform servers of their location and assigned station; plan seating and reservations.
• Maintain communication with servers, manager, and kitchen to synchronize timing and guest flow.
• Greet guests as they depart to confirm satisfaction.
• Note any problems to quickly get a manager.
