Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels seeks a Guest Services Agent to deliver exceptional front desk service and guest relations. You will manage check-ins, answer inquiries, process payments, and assist with reservations, while upholding Sonesta standards.

The role requires strong English communication, at least 1 year in hospitality or retail, and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training and opportunities for advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hotel experience or retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• ServSafe and/or TIPS certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room locations.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit card transactions and prepare related reports.
• Maintain security of cash, transactions, and guest information.
• Handle reservations for individuals or groups and up-sell rooms when appropriate.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies on pricing and occupancy.
• Collaborate with shifts and management to ensure service quality.
• Provide service at the shoppe and pour while adhering to alcohol laws.
• Fulfill guest requests and ensure delivery of services.
• Issue and manage guest safes; comply with health, safety, and alcohol policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
