Job summary

Washington National Cathedral is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day Guest & Event Management Services at the Cathedral and VMC. You will oversee Front of House operations, room readiness, reservations, and billing, while coordinating staff during shifts to deliver a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities include overseeing event setup, tech troubleshooting, and liaising with multiple Cathedral departments to ensure hospitality, safety, and high service standards throughout

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer service experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in hospitality or events is preferred.
• Open availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for visitors, guests, and clients.
• Manage front office tasks, registrations, and invoicing.
• Lead on-site operations for meetings and events, including setup and teardown.
• Coordinate with departments to support safe, welcoming events.
• Monitor guest flow, space readiness, and accessibility needs.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting for AV and tech issues.
• Coach staff and ensure adherence to Cathedral standards.
