Kana Hotel Group in Knoxville seeks a friendly and reliable server to join our hospitality team. You will deliver food and beverages, input orders, handle payments, and maintain restaurant cleanliness while providing excellent guest service.

Basic math and cash-handling skills are required, with preferred 6 months of server experience. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays; training and growth opportunities provided within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months server experience.
• Experience in hospitality preferred.
• Possess basic math skills and cash-handling.
• Licenses, certifications - applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card.
• Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve tables by retrieving and delivering food and beverages in a timely manner.
• Complete knowledge of hotel’s food and beverage preparation, menu, and pricing.
• Input orders and generate checks using a computer/ POS system.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and run side-work in restaurant and kitchen.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age; refuse service politely when needed.
• Suggest transportation options for guests who should not drive.
• Escalate guest service issues to management when needed.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Report to work in a neat uniform and maintain personal hygiene.
