General Summary & Scope

The Guest Coordinator engages with guests and promotes Ulta Beauty services through one-on-one interactions, both over the phone and in person. They represent the company's image, products, and culture, supporting the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) by focusing on performance, people, and process. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate salon services and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performance
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, acknowledging all guests and offering friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Support the services team by managing calls, guest concerns, bookings, and promoting services and products.
  • Build the services business by informing guests of current promotions and confidently inviting them to try services.
  • Support service providers in appointment management and new guest acquisition.
  • Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver outstanding guest experiences and meet sales goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
People
  • Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
  • Communicate and collaborate to support stylists’ goals and drive success.
  • Develop guest relationships through interactions and recommendations.
  • Observe consultations to identify guests’ needs and ensure a comprehensive experience.
  • Collaborate with store team to grow the business and enhance guest service.
  • Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
  • Promote the guest loyalty program and app.
  • Attend training and meetings for professional development.
Process
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Follow dress code and safety protocols.
  • Support safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
  • Use scheduling tools to optimize results.
  • Communicate supply needs and maintain store standards.
  • Follow loss prevention practices and execute operational tasks.
Job Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma preferred.
Experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent education and experience.
Skills
  • Proficiency with basic technology (POS, Apple devices, booking systems).
  • Strong sales, product, and service competency.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
Special Position Requirements
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
  • Mobility throughout the store during shift.
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Use of computers, phones, and office supplies.
