The Post Oak in Laughlin, NV seeks a friendly Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will greet guests, take orders, explain menu items, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• One year of restaurant or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner.
• Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol.
• Communicate specials or promotions and make recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Answer questions regarding the menu, including allergies or special requests.
• Servers must know the menu and be able to explain items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Take accurate orders from guests and enter them into the POS system.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Serve food and beverages promptly with good presentation and pacing for the table.
• Check on guests during meals and address requests/concerns.
• Refill drinks and clear plates as needed.
• Provide attentive and personalized service, anticipating guests' needs.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate to management when needed.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Present checks and handle payments accurately and quickly.
• Comply with FLSA tip regulations and company policies for tipped positions.
