Job summary

Wyndham Garden York is seeking a guest-oriented Banquet Server to join our events team. You will welcome guests, assist with setup, serve food and beverages, and help ensure every wedding, meeting, and banquet runs smoothly.

The ideal candidate has excellent guest service, teamwork, and the ability to work evenings and weekends on a fast-paced event schedule; prior hospitality experience is preferred. Maintain professional appearance and follow safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet, hotel, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a professional, courteous manner.
• Set up banquet rooms with tables, linens, and equipment per event specs.
• Serve food and beverages and assist with buffet or plated service.
• Maintain clean tables and service areas throughout events.
• Coordinate with Banquet Captain, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.
