Job summary

Target On-Demand Team Members provide flexible scheduling and guest-focused service in the store. You can work as much or as little as you like, with shifts posted by leaders or teammates through the myTime app.

Attending orientations and staying engaged with shifts is part of the role to ensure readiness for guest needs. As a Guest Advocate, you’ll greet guests, help them find products, answer questions, and support a fast, friendly checkout experience while upholding Target policies and safety

Qualifications

• Customer-focused guest service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to varying shifts and store needs.
• Willingness to learn Target's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience by following commitments.
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft and assist with needs.
• Help guests find items and resolve issues to ensure smooth shopping.
• End every transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support teammates and help peers while staying positive.
• Adjust to business needs to deliver a great guest experience.
• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering standards.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and safely, per policies.
• Minimize guest wait time with accurate service.
• Inform guests about benefits, Wallet features, and app use.
• Handle returns per policy and escalate with leaders when needed.
• De-escalate situations to recover the guest experience.
• Provide service for Order Pick Up and Drive Up guests.
