Job summary

Target is looking for an On-Demand Team Member (Guest Advocate) in California. You will greet guests, assist with product finds, and ensure a friendly checkout experience while supporting store operations. Shifts are scheduled via the myTime app, allowing you to pick up hours that fit your schedule.

Reliability, punctual attendance, and engagement are essential as you respond to store needs and opportunities to help guests. Training will prepare you for these duties and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments
• Greet guests from 10ft and 4ft with a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers as needed
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the Target service standards
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
• Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain and promote Target benefits, enroll guests in Wallet and App features
• Handle returns and Drive Up/Order Pick Up with guidance from leaders
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
• Deliver easy and accurate service to OPU, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during hours
• Follow safety policies and report hazards as required
• Support guest services across channels and adapt to peak times
