Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) Guardianship Services Program is seeking a Guardianship Specialist I to provide 24/7 service coordination and oversight for individuals under guardianship. The role involves assessing needs, preparing court documents, and testifying in hearings, with close collaboration with regional guardianship attorneys and HHSC staff.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree, willingness to travel up to 75%, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management and guardianship services.
• Ability to operate with knowledge of guardianship laws and policies.
• Strong documentation and court testimony skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular and predictable schedule.
• Provide on-call coverage outside business hours.
• Assess guardianship needs and coordinate life events for the person under guardianship.
• Document monthly status contacts and required filings accurately.
• Manage financial affairs and court-ordered responsibilities if applicable.
