Job summary

Richland County CASA is seeking a dedicated Case Coordinator to supervise volunteer Guardians ad Litem and support advocacy for abused and neglected children. You will mentor GALs, maintain case records, and coordinate preparation for court appearances.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a social services field, a valid SC driver’s license, GAL certification, and 2+ years in child welfare. This is a full-time position based in Richland County with office-based duties.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social services or related field.
• Must possess valid state driver’s license and Guardian ad Litem certification.
• Over two years of child welfare experience; up to four years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support volunteer Guardians ad Litem (GALs).
• Mentor GALs through their first case and debrief after court appearances.
• Maintain GAL case records and monitor progress and compliance.
• Attend court hearings with volunteers or serve as GAL as needed.
• Provide ongoing professional and emotional support to GALs.
