Job summary

SC Department of Children’s Advocacy seeks an Advocate Supervisor to provide supervision and guidance to volunteers in the Guardian ad Litem program. You will coordinate assignments, assist with training, and help prepare court materials while safeguarding confidential information.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with county directors, regional staff, and state office staff.

Qualifications

• Required: high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to supervise volunteers and manage case-related tasks.
• Knowledge of computer applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assign volunteers to cases and supervise to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate case data in the database and monitor reports.
• Assist with training and recruiting volunteers to ensure adequate coverage.
• Perform administrative functions to support program goals.
• Provide direct child advocacy as needed when volunteer pool is insufficient.
