Job summary

The Guardian ad Litem Office in Florida seeks a Child Advocate Manager to supervise a team of volunteers and coordinate independent representation for children involved in dependency court.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, prepare reports, provide advocacy, and ensure timely case documentation while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.

Requires a bachelor's degree, experience in child welfare or supervision, and ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, child development or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in child welfare, social services, counseling or supervising volunteers desired.
• Ability to obtain Child Advocate Manager Certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Guardian ad Litem volunteers and multidisciplinary team.
• Gather and document case information for independent advocacy.
• Provide best interests recommendations to court and partners.
• Prepare written court reports and provide testimony as required.
• Attend hearings, depositions and case conferences; engage with families and service providers.
