Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Research Assistant to provide intermediate-level support for clinical and translational GU oncology research at the Penn State Cancer Institute. The role covers study coordination, consent and enrollment, data management, regulatory compliance, scientific writing, and research administration.

You will work closely with investigators, collaborators, and staff to advance the GU research portfolio and ensure successful execution of research initiatives,

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications: None

Responsibilities

• Research Study Support: design, develop, and implement GU studies under investigators, develop protocols and documentation, recruit participants and obtain consent, enroll and follow-up.
• Data Management and Analysis: collect, organize, manage, and analyze data; ensure data integrity; prepare figures, tables, and reports; maintain records; support manuscripts.
• Regulatory and Project Coordination: maintain study documentation; ensure IRB/compliance; coordinate timelines and logistics; liaise with investigators, sponsors, and partners.
• Research Administration: assist with grant proposals and progress reports; manage reimbursements, invoices, payroll docs, and budgets; maintain regulatory files.
• Collaboration and Process Improvement: evaluate workflows, troubleshoot, and improve data quality; participate in GU meetings; support onboarding and training.
