Job summary

The Penn State College of Medicine, Cancer Institute is seeking a Research Assistant in Hershey, PA to provide intermediate-level support for clinical and translational GU oncology research. Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma; 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant education accepted in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate GU oncology research studies under faculty guidance.
• Develop study protocols and supporting research documentation.
• Support observational and non-treatment interventional studies, including recruitment and enrollment.
• Assist in development and maintenance of an NGS data biobank for GU research.
• Collect, organize, manage, and analyze research data for ongoing studies.
• Maintain study records and support manuscript preparation and reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with IRB and institutional requirements.
• Coordinate day-to-day research operations and timelines.
• Assist with grant proposals, progress reports, abstracts, and presentations.
• Evaluate workflows and contribute to process improvements.
