Job summary

Montserrat is seeking a GTP Workshop Assistant to support day-to-day operations in the Visual Communication Design space. You will work with monitors to complete tasks, assist with plush, figures, board games, puppets, electronics and video game hardware, and participate in events like Game Jam and Pitch Fest.

Ideal candidates are 2nd semester freshmen or sophomores who enjoy tinkering, staying organized, and working safely with materials.

Qualifications

• Freshman or Sophomore in 2nd semester.
• Interest in tinkering and making things safely.
• Strong organizational and cleanliness habits.
• Courteous and professional demeanor with students and staff.
• Willingness to ask questions when unsure.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with Q&A and manage studio equipment.
• Train patrons new to sewing, prototyping and hand tools.
• Ensure safety procedures and maintain a clean studio.
• Organize studio materials, tools inventory, and donations.
• Help develop policies for access and cleanup.
• Collaborate on ongoing creative projects with monitors.
