Job summary

Digital Waffle is seeking mid to senior GTM Engineers to build the outbound engine from the ground up and own the systems that find, reach and convert buyers.

This hands-on role requires owning the stack end-to-end, designing scalable enrichment, and delivering measurable pipeline impact with direct collaboration with founders and sales leaders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in GTM engineering, growth, RevOps or technical outbound.
• Strong hands-on Clay experience, plus comfort in n8n, Make or similar automation tooling.
• Comfort with SQL, Python or APIs when a workflow needs to go beyond no-code.
• Solid grasp of deliverability: sending domains, warm-up, SPF, DKIM, DMARC.

Responsibilities

• Design Clay tables and waterfall enrichment that hold up under volume.
• Automate workflows in n8n, Make or code as stack requires.
• Use AI to research accounts and personalise messaging at scale, avoiding templated noise.

• Sync data into HubSpot or Salesforce with trustworthy downstream data.
• Track performance and iterate against pipeline impact.

Multiple YC-backed startups are hiring mid to senior GTM Engineers to build their outbound engine from the ground up and own the systems that find, reach and convert buyers.

These are hands‑on roles, not seat‑filler ones. You’ll architect the signal-based outbound, run the enrichment stack, automate the workflows and own deliverability. The brief isn’t to run someone else’s playbook: it’s to build the one these businesses will scale on.

Role: GTM Engineer (mid to senior)

What you’ll be doing:

• Build signal-based outbound around funding, hiring, job changes and website visits
• Design Clay tables and waterfall enrichment that actually hold up under volume
• Automate workflows in n8n, Make or code depending on what the stack needs
• Use AI to research accounts and personalise messaging at scale, without sliding into templated noise
• Own sending domains, warm‑up and deliverability so volume doesn’t kill reply rates
• Sync everything cleanly into HubSpot or Salesforce with data you can trust downstream
• Track what works, kill what doesn’t and iterate against pipeline impact
• Partner directly with founders and sales leaders on strategy and prioritisation

What you’ll need:

• 2+ years in GTM engineering, growth, RevOps or technical outbound
• Strong hands‑on Clay experience, plus comfort in n8n, Make or similar automation tooling
• Comfort with SQL, Python or APIs when a workflow needs to go beyond no‑code
• Solid grasp of deliverability: sending domains, warm‑up, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
• Measurable results you can point to across meetings booked, pipeline generated and reply rates
• Comfortable owning the stack end to end rather than specialising inside someone else’s system

Nice to have:

• Prior experience as the first GTM engineer at a startup
• Exposure to AI/LLM product work on either the sending or research side
• Experience building reporting on top of HubSpot or Salesforce data

This role would suit a GTM engineer who wants real ownership of the outbound engine, close work with founders and the freedom to choose their own stack rather than inherit someone else’s.
