REMOTE IN DALLAS TX, PORTLAND, OR, SEATTLE, WA, SF BAY AREA, or KANSAS CITY metropolitan area

Responsive is looking for an experienced GTM Engineer, who will turn go-to-market ideas into scalable, measurable systems.

Working at the intersection of Revenue Operations, Marketing, Sales, data, and technology, you will design and launch workflows that help Responsive identify the right accounts, engage buyers at the right moment, and give customer-facing teams the context they need to act.

Your initial focus will include account-based marketing programs and outbound prospecting. Over time, your scope may expand into other areas such as inbound conversion, lead and account routing, event follow-up, territory and whitespace programs, pipeline acceleration, customer expansion, and other opportunities across the revenue lifecycle.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines technical curiosity with strong commercial judgment. You should be as comfortable mapping a GTM process with stakeholders as you are configuring an enrichment waterfall, troubleshooting an integration, or measuring whether a program generated pipeline.

Essential Functions

Build GTM programs and workflows

  • Translate business goals into clear workflow requirements, technical designs, launch plans, and success metrics.
  • Build and operate account-based programs involving account selection, enrichment, segmentation, prioritization, audience activation, seller alerts, and coordinated outreach.
  • Develop outbound workflows that help sales teams identify high-potential accounts and contacts, generate relevant research, personalize engagement, and act on buying signals.
  • Create automated plays for inbound follow-up, website engagement, events, stalled opportunities, account expansion, and other revenue lifecycle moments.
  • Rapidly prototype new GTM ideas, test them with users, measure their impact, and scale the workflows that work.

Own orchestration across the GTM stack

  • Build connected workflows across Salesforce, Clay, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Qualified, and related systems.
  • Use Salesforce as the system of record while ensuring data and actions move reliably between platforms.
  • Design enrichment waterfalls, matching and deduplication logic, account and contact scoring, routing rules, triggers, alerts, and sequence-enrollment workflows.
  • Build integrations using native connectors, APIs, webhooks, automation platforms, and lightweight scripts where appropriate.
  • Evaluate emerging GTM and AI capabilities through structured experimentation rather than tool adoption for its own sake

Improve data quality and reliability

  • Establish clear data contracts, field definitions, ownership rules, and quality checks for the workflows you build.
  • Monitor automations for failures, data drift, duplication, unexpected costs, and unintended customer or prospect experiences.
  • Maintain documentation, change controls, testing practices, and recovery procedures for business-critical workflows.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate treatment of personal data, consent, suppression preferences, system access, and vendor usage.

Measure business impact

  • Define the hypothesis, target audience, expected behavior, and success criteria for each program before launch.
  • Build reporting that connects workflow activity to meaningful outcomes such as meetings, opportunities, pipeline, conversion, velocity, productivity, and cost.
  • Run controlled tests where practical and distinguish incremental impact from activity volume.
  • Share results, lessons, and recommendations with GTM leaders and frontline teams.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog based on expected business value, effort, risk, and strategic alignment.

Partner across the organization

  • Work closely with Marketing, SDR/BDR, Sales, Revenue Operations, Analytics, and other teams to identify high-value opportunities.
  • Gather feedback from frontline users and design workflows that fit naturally into how they work.
  • Set clear expectations around scope, dependencies, timelines, and tradeoffs.
  • Train users, support adoption, and create documentation that allows programs to operate sustainably.
  • Serve as a thoughtful advisor on what should be automated, what should remain human-led, and where process changes are needed before technology is introduced.
Qualifications

Approximately 2+ years of experience in GTM Engineering and 3-6 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Growth Operations, or a similarly hands-on role.

Strong hands‑on experience with Clay and Salesforce; experience with Outreach, ZoomInfo, Qualified, or comparable platforms is a plus.

Experience building multistep workflows across CRM, enrichment, engagement, intent, and automation systems.

A practical understanding of B2B SaaS funnels, account-based marketing, outbound prospecting, lead and account management, and pipeline generation.

Ability to work with APIs, webhooks, data transformations, and integration logic. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable learning technical systems and debugging them methodically.

Strong analytical skills and experience connecting program activity to revenue outcomes.

Sound judgment around data quality, privacy, governance, scalability, and customer experience.

Ability to turn ambiguous requests into structured problems, testable hypotheses, and maintainable solutions.

Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
