Job summary

Premier Early Childhood Education Partners is seeking a GSRP Floater Teacher to support our Great Start Readiness Program, a state-funded preschool initiative for children. The role requires an associate degree in early childhood education, child development, or a CDA credential, with prior experience in serving at-risk populations considered a plus.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, full-time, 185 days per year.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in ECE or CD or CDA credential required.
• Experience teaching at-risk children a plus.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member in providing a quality educational preschool program.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring curriculum and assessment.
• Assist in establishing parent involvement activities.
• Assist with home visits.
• Work with individual and small groups of students.
• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Assist children with personal health care needs.
• Work collaboratively and communicate with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans, activities, and classroom tasks.
• Assist teacher with monitoring behavior and supporting the educational process in the classroom.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, and/or playground.
• Participate in trainings and on-going professional development.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed for family involvement activities, including home visits, recruitment events, open house.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Education

Associate degree in early childhood education or child development or the equivalent; or a valid classroom CDA credential
