Job summary

Primrose School of Jenison is seeking a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high-quality, play-based classroom that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond. No nights, no weekends!

You will assist with planning, implementing, and adapting lessons under the lead teacher, creating a nurturing, stimulating environment for preschoolers, and ensuring safe, respectful learning spaces while participating in professional development and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (Or a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with a plan to complete an associate degree)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for nurturing and educating young children
• Experience in early childhood education and preschool settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning space
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
• Support children’s individual learning needs and encourage their social and emotional growth
