Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a Lead GSRP Teacher in Michigan to plan and implement daily lessons for 4-year-olds, conduct observations, and collaborate with a classroom team to deliver high-quality instruction.

You will develop Individual Development Plans, lead parent-teacher conferences, and ensure compliance with GSRP standards and licensing. The role includes ongoing PD, coaching, and engagement with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or ZA/ZS endorsement.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Meet state education requirements for licensing and our center.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lessons using the approved GSRP curriculum.
• Conduct child observations and assessments using approved tools.
• Collaborate with the associate teacher and team to ensure high-quality instruction and classroom management.
• Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each child and lead parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure compliance with GSRP standards and licensing rules.
• Participate in required professional development and coaching.
• Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners.

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children. The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year-old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant.

As a Lead GSRP Teacher, you’ll:
